Schools in Colombia

Olistiko's objective is to promote the development of educational initiatives for children and their communities. Our approach is participatory: we work directly with communities to identify and respond to their needs to improve educational opportunities and the environment for children.

About the project

The team

Tatiana, Yessie and Selma; Three women who love freedom and helping others, and the innate desire to join forces for a social cause, whose focus is on supporting the education of children and promoting the well-being of vulnerable communities.

Support from local communities

We wanted to make the biggest but most realistic impact to the educational landscape in Colombia.

End result

Contextualizing the needs of Colombian schoolchildren, their parents, and their educators helped us to construct a well-equipped, bright, and accessible place of learning.

Join us to make a real difference in the lives of indigenous children living in the remote mountains of Colombia! In these communities, education is a light of hope in a world full of challenges. However, lack of resources is a significant obstacle to their learning and growth.

With your support, we can provide this school with the essential resources they need. From educational materials to basic facilities.

The Arhuacos are an indigenous community that are characterized by living in the most remote mountains of northern Colombia.

The school aims to serve 75 children, between 5 and 12 years old. Currently, two classrooms have been built but they do not have sanitary facilities, floors or furniture so they can study properly.

We want to build more classrooms and improve the school's infrastructure as well as provide it with the equipment and resources necessary for its use.
